Beyond the hype – a look back at extremely hyped games to see if they live up to the
craziness surrounding them. These post release reviews are design to take on some of the industry’s biggest names, and determine if they were worthy of the hefty 60.00 purchase, or if they should remain shelf talkers. This is our way of saying beware of the hype factor when purchase your next Game, and if your unsure this is the place to check.
Beyond the hype gives each game a score out of five on hype versus delivery will it live up to the hype, or fall below. Here’s how you can tell.
Beyond the hype!! – Reserve for those rare gems. The games that you will play 5 or 6 times before you get tired of them. These are the Innovative, original just plain Amazing games we all hope for.
Hyped. – Games that received this score are those games that are good but not as good as you may have hoped, still worth a play through or two.
Hype factor! - These are the super hyped games that fall into the over populated realm of averagness. Usually one play through and you’re done. Beware the marketing for these games are strong, and their numbers are many.(cough cough "Army of two" cough cough)
What the Heck? - I thought it was good!. Until I played it, now it’ll be a coaster once I get my Trophies / Achievements.
Unh! Seriously! - Did I just waste 60 bones on this? – Ok, did they really sale me this game?, I am suing for false advertisement. OMG, is This a tech demo, what am I playing. These games hurt to buy, but we have all done it , and it’s painful every time.
